CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

What is craniosacral therapy?
Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, non invasive, touch based therapy which has its roots in osteopathy. It has been born out of an understanding that the subtle tissue movements and sensations from the body can be felt as a form of communication. A craniosacral therapist will listen to the body in the same way a psychotherapist might listen to your words. This can be a powerful way to find and maintain health, relaxation and vitality.
Who can it help?
Adults and children: Craniosacral therapy can be beneficial for all sorts of reasons. Some of these are physical or emotional pain, chronic illness, nervous system disorders, reproductive and pregnancy issues and autoimmune disorders.
It can also be a powerful way to take time for yourself and relax or to explore ideas.
Babies: With its light touch and gentle nature craniosacral therapy is well known to be very helpful for babies. Their sensory experience of the world means that they are particularly sensitive to touch and are often very responsive to treatments. It can be supportive to bring a baby for treatment after birth to help them to process the enormous transitions of entering into the world. It can also help with colic, sleep issues, pain etc.
