SOPHIE MASON
CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY

A little about me...
I live in Frome with my partner, daughter, dog and our two chickens. I am also an artist and work between craniosacral therapy and my studio. Lucky me! I use my art practice to explore the landscapes and ecosystems that I am a part of. You can see more about it at www.sophiemason.co.
I became passionate about craniosacral therapy in my twenties after spending years trying to manage severe chronic fatigue, something I have had since I was fourteen. I have found that craniosacral therapy has been the most potent and nourishing way for me to manage a chronic health problem and because of it I am able to live a full life.
Following on from this I regularly took my daughter to see a craniosacral therapist after she was born and at various other times in her life. Seeing how gentle and effective it was for her, and for some of the other babies and children in my life, I was drawn to the training myself.
I am repeatedly moved by the power of touch and stillness and what I have seen happen during craniosacral therapy sessions.

Ah, not to be cut off,
not through the slightest partition
shut out from the law of the stars.
The inner – what is it?
if not the intensified sky,
hurled through with birds and deep
with the winds of homecoming.
by Rainer Maria Rilke
